The Human Safety Net Launches new programme activities in Chile

In partnership with Scalabrini and Accion Emprendadora, The Human Safety Net is launching two additional activities within its For Refugees programme in Chile. The activities are designed to foster economic autonomy and social cohesion within the migrant community.

Migrant entrepreneurs in Chile—particularly women—often face a “double structural gap”: limited access to formal business networks and a lack of strategic financial management tools adapted to the local context. These new initiatives are designed to bridge those gaps, turning fragile ventures into sustainable, strategic businesses.

Emprende con Futuro: Transforming Experience into Identity

Specifically designed for early-stage entrepreneurs, Emprende con Futuro (Entrepreneurship with a Future) operates on the principle that migrant women do not start from zero—they start from experience.

  • The Goal: To pre-incubate and structure viable business models while building a strong personal brand.
  • The Format: 100% in-person, ensuring deep connection and “Collective Intelligence” through support groups.
  • Capacity: 50 participants per cohort.
  • The Mechanics: A 6-module journey (2 modules per month) focused on three key pillars:

Identity & Positioning: Developing a clear, communicable personal brand.

Strategic Planning: Utilizing an editable Canvas model to define the business roadmap.

Comprehensive Financial Organization: Learning to separate household finances from business accounts and defining a formal “entrepreneur’s salary.”

Bases Seguras, Futuro Sostenible: Scaling for Stability

For those who have already established their businesses but need to solidify their foundations, Bases Seguras, Futuro Sostenible (Secure Bases, Sustainable Future) offers a path to long-term stability.

  • The Goal: This program focuses on planning and economic autonomy to resolve gaps in sustainability.
  • The Format: A flexible hybrid model (online and in-person) to accommodate busy schedules.
  • Capacity: 40 participants per cohort, with an ambitious target of reaching 160 total beneficiaries.
  • The Mechanics: the partner Accion Emprendadora provides a “Strategic-Financial Roadmap.” Participants work with professional tools such as KPI templates and cash flow projections to move from informal management to data-driven growth.

The Strategic Roadmap

What sets these programmes apart is the focus on tangible tools and psychological shifts. By the end of these programmes, participants don’t just leave with a certificate; they leave with a 12-month Strategic Action Plan.
