Values in Music: “Peter and the Wolf”

A playful and highly creative programme based on Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev's symphonic fairy tale for children characterises the Carnival event of the Values in Music series organised by The Home of The Human Safety in collaboration with the Benedetto Marcello Conservatory of Music in Venice. The protagonists are the musicians of the Kokai Quintet, which was formed within the Conservatory's Ensemble Music Class for Wind Instruments and consists of five very young musicians attending the Level I Three-Year Course, who will tackle a challenging and entertaining score based on the original version for orchestra and narrator. The music of Cristina Rosafio (flute), Camilla Vezzaro (oboe), Damiano Ballarin (clarinet), Iris Vanuijtrecht (horn) and Angela Ferrara (bassoon) will be counterpointed by the voice of Cristina Ferrajoli, a student of Baroque singing.
