Reading Lab: Di Mare e di Vento
Monday 22 June, 5.30 pm
The star of the latest instalment of our Reading Lab is the young author Amerigo Rizzone and his poetry collection “Di Mare e di Vento”, illustrated by Angelo Rizzone. “To see the whole world and take nothing,” said Sergei Yesenin, the 20th-century Russian poet, to describe the need to recount the beauty of the world without trying to hold on to it, but rather embracing its fragility and transience. The collection of poems follows this poetic thread, inviting us to focus on the wind and the sea – those elements of nature, in their cyclical nature, that are fleeting. And it is from these phenomena that the introspection necessary to let ourselves be enveloped by the feelings that arise within us originates.
