The third edition of MovieLab – a film series curated by Francesco Della Puppa, sociologist and lecturer at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, entitled “Transformative Visions. Glimpses of the Possible”, organised under the patronage of Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. Issa has just been sacked and turns to his friend Mario, who works in a restaurant, for help in finding another job. The purchase of a second-hand bicycle and the gift of a rucksack and a smartphone open up the possibility for him to work as a delivery rider. At first, things seem to be going well, but one day, whilst making a delivery, his bicycle is stolen. For Issa, this marks the start of a complex journey fraught with difficulties as he tries to find his bike and, with it, his independence. Following the screening, the director Milad Tangshir, who will be present in the cinema, will take part in a discussion with Francesco Pontarelli, a researcher at Ca’ Foscari University.

All screenings in the MovieLab programme are accredited by the Order of Social Workers of the Veneto Region.
