Movielab is back: the film series curated by Francesco Della Puppa, sociologist and lecturer at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, now in its third edition, entitled “Transformative Visions. Perspectives on the Possible”, under the patronage of Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. This year’s programme opens with the 2022 film Margini, by Francesco Turbanti and Niccolò Falsetti, who will be in attendance for a discussion with Francesco Della Puppa and the audience. The film tells the story of Michele, Edoardo and Jacopo, three young punks from the provinces who are trying to organise a concert in Grosseto for Defense, a famous American band. Presented in competition at the National Critics’ Week of the 79th Venice Film Festival, where it won the Audience Award, the film received two nominations at the 2023 David di Donatello Awards for Best Emerging Director and Best Original Song. All screenings in the MovieLab programme are accredited by the Order of Social Workers of the Veneto Region.
