Venice Origin, The Venetian Lagoon

An unprecedented aerial journey over the Venetian lagoon reveals rare images, far from the usual photographic clichés of one of the most photographed places in the world. Origin, the work of photographer and director Yann Arthus-Bertrand, takes the viewer through surprising perspectives and images of a landscape that is itself a visual work of art, the quintessence of beauty, highlighting the millennial relationship between man and the forces of nature in wild and magnificent lands. Presented out of competition at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival, the film is the longer version of a short film that Yann Arthus-Bertrand made for the Architecture Biennale at the request of the curator Carlo Ratti.
