Venetians by Choice: meeting with Stefano Pratissoli
16 October, 5 pm - 6 pm
For everyone
The series “Venetians by Choice” is back, a set of meetings dedicated to all those who have chosen Venice as their home, while sharing their talents and enriching this unique city.
This time we will be talking to Stefano Pratissoli, born in Parma and Venetian by choice, who has been the main double-bass player in the Teatro La Fenice orchestra for over thirty years. Since 2002, he has devoted himself to education, teaching his instrument and creating opportunities for exchange and connection with his students. He collaborates with the Marciana Chapel, and he is the only musician to date who can play the historic double bass built by Gasparo di Salò in 1596, the "Dragonetti", exhibited in the museum of the Saint Mark's Basilica.
