Painting poetry: watercolor, creativity and views of the world
23 October, h 4 - 6 pm
Workshop with Marco Fazzini
In the workshop “Coloring Poetry,” students and citizens will be guided by Marco Fazzini, poet, translator, and painter, in an experiential workshop that intertwines artistic languages and social reflection. Starting from the exhibition “Heaven Under Our Feet” (October 16–26), inspired by the thinking of Henry David Thoreau, participants will explore natural materials, pigments, and handmade papers, experimenting with watercolor painting as a practice of attention, slowness, and sustainability. Through dialogue and shared creation, the workshop becomes a space to reflect on art as a form of Futures Literacy: the ability to imagine, through creative gestures and poetic visions, new ways of inhabiting the present and building the future. An invitation to rediscover the beauty of slow thinking, the harmony of color, and the transformative power of poetry. The workshop is in collaboration with The Human Safety Net as part of INVOLVED! – InnovationLab for Sustainable Changemakers, a program that promotes creativity, active citizenship, and social innovation. With Marco Fazzini, professor of English and postcolonial literature at Ca' Foscari University in Venice, internationally award-winning author and painter, whose research combines words and images in a constant dialogue between art, nature, and humanity.
