Volunteer Training with CSB
Scientific research shows how reading together, adults and children, by building that special relationship of shared reading, positively contributes to significant cognitive, linguistic, and emotional development in young children. For this reason, the Centro per la Salute del Bambino, one of the NGOs supported by The Human Safety Net through the Families program, created the national "Born to Read" program. The training courses are aimed at adults who want to deepen the benefits of dialogic reading, learn the techniques, and understand the criteria for selecting the most suitable books. This training session is a wonderful opportunity to join our team of "Born to Read" volunteers who, every third Sunday of the month, offer our little visitors an engaging and educational quiet reading experience.
