INVOLVED! ReadingLab
Wednesday 18 December from 5 to 6 p.m.
Can one teach in a passionate and enthusiastic manner? Why must a teacher also have the soul of a researcher? Does the teacher who abandons frontal teaching to facilitate student participation lose authority? ‘Leaving a good trail. For a democratic style of the law teacher' by Christian Crocetta is the book featured in this year's last Reading Lab. Starting from the pedagogical thought of Paulo Freire, John Dewey, Bell Hooks, Don Milani and other ‘masters’ of our time, the essay focuses on the limits of traditional teaching practices and advocates a teaching style that values dialogue and respect, participation and research, that stimulates critical thinking and learning through experience.
