INVOLVED! ReadingLAB
Wednesday, October 9th at 5:00 PM
ReadingLab is coming to The Home of The Human Safety Net, a new initiative curated by Baba Jaga and A2030 Social Innovation Designers as part of “INVOLVED! InnovationLab for Sustainable Changemakers”. We will open the series sitting around the café table with Francesco Della Puppa and Gianfranco Bonesso, authors of “La linea dell’orizzonte”, an ethnographic novel about migration between Bangladesh, Italy, and London, published by BeccoGiallo. It tells the story of a young sociologist working in Venice who travels to London to complete his research on Italian citizens of Bangladeshi origin who, having arrived in Italy in the 1990s, now decide to move to London. This is “onward migration,” a recent phenomenon that offers insights into how humans are driven to seek better living conditions, the migration routes shaped by continuous global transformations, and the social, political, and economic situation of our country.
