Global Challenge 2026: Together, We Reached a New Milestone for People

The numbers are in, and they tell an extraordinary story: €828,000 raised. Countless lives impacted.

The Human Safety Net’s Global Challenge 2026 has come to a close with a new fundraising record: €828,000 raised. The funds will be used to provide additional support to The Human Safety Net programmes in all 25 countries where it operates.

A global movement in action

Throughout June, THSNers across the globe stepped up in countless ways. From walking, running and cycling challenges to volunteering activities, community events, sports tournaments, fundraising initiatives and creative local activations, people came together to transform everyday actions into meaningful impact.

The Global Challenge has always been about more than raising funds. It is a moment when our global community becomes visible — a moment that brings together people who share a commitment to helping others and creating a more inclusive society. The initiative supports The Human Safety Net’s mission of unlocking the potential of families with young children and refugees through a global network of NGO partners operating in 25 countries.

Every euro goes back to communities

The most important result is not the number itself, but what it will make possible.

All funds raised through the Global Challenge 2026 will be reinvested directly into The Human Safety Net programmes in the countries where the Foundation operates, helping local NGO partners expand their reach and strengthen their impact. These programmes support families with children aged 0–6 and help refugees build pathways towards inclusion, employment and independence.

A record built by thousands of people

The achievement of €828,000 belongs to everyone who took part in the Global Challenge activities.

It belongs to every team that organised an initiative, every participant who counted steps, every fundraiser who reached out to their network, every person who volunteered their time, every donor who chose to contribute, and every country team that turned an ambitious idea into local action.

Thank you for making it happen

Reaching a new record is a moment to celebrate, but it is also a reminder of what can be achieved when purpose becomes action.

To everyone who participated in the Global Challenge 2026: thank you for your energy and commitment. Thank you for showing that helping people can bring people together. And thank you for helping turn a global movement into real opportunities for families and refugees around the world.

When people help people, extraordinary things happen.
