NetWorks 2025: Building a Movement for Greater Impact

From 5 to 7 November, The Human Safety Net gathered its global community once again for NetWorks, the annual summit held at the historic Procuratie in St Mark’s Square, Venice – the Home of The Human Safety Net

Over three inspiring days, the Foundation welcomed 85 partner organizations from 25 countries to share experiences, learn from one another, and explore how they can scale their collective impact.

One of the key topics of this year’s was demography– a vital system that sustains our societies and in which our partners play such a crucial role, both through the For Families and For Refugees programme. As Professor Alessandra Minello reminded us in her keynote on how demographic shifts are reshaping our world:

“Every shift in population structure – whether it’s declining fertility, forced migration, or aging – changes what vulnerability means and how opportunity can be created.”

This insight set the tone for conversations around how we can respond to evolving social needs by strengthening partnerships, sharing evidence, and designing scalable solutions.

As we close this year’s edition, we are reminded of how essential this gathering is — not only to align and learn with the partners to increase our collective impact, but also to listen, reflect, and grow together as a community.

We hope everyone left Venice with fresh inspiration, practical tools, and a renewed sense of purpose — ready to take the next step in building a movement that truly leaves no one behind.
