We have expanded The Human Safety Net network in Serbia

In 2025, The Human Safety Net Serbia began a collaboration with a new NGO partner, Center for Interactive Pedagogy – CIP Center, on their For Families program titled “Strong from the Start – Let’s Give Them Wings.”

After 12 weeks, the first cycle of workshops under the new programme was successfully completed, reaching a total of 1,093 participants – 480 parents, 497 children directly, and 116 children indirectly.

The programme consists of 10 workshops for parents and an additional 4 workshops organized for parents and children together. The first cycle was held in 10 cities, across 18 kindergartens in Serbia, and was dedicated to parents from smaller communities or vulnerable groups.

The workshop focused on creating a safe and stimulating family environment, managing emotions and personal development, supporting children in creative thinking, as well as healthy eating habits and spending time in nature.

Parents emphasized that the program was very meaningful to them, especially since some of them are unemployed, and the workshops represented their only opportunity to connect with the community.

Thanks to the collaboration with the new partner and the continued partnership with our long-standing partner, the Novak Djokovic Foundation, The Human Safety Net programme in Serbia is currently being implemented in 34 locations.
