In Vietnam, For Families programme is scaling up with a successful partnership approach

The Human Safety Net Vietnam is increasing its impact by extending the partnership with public and private organisations and delivering evidence-based parenting contents in an innovative way

The partnership approach that combines the innovative content and resources from ‘Sinh Con, Sinh Cha’ programme with UNICEF’s ‘Integrated Early Childhood Education Holistic Parenting’ programme is delivering the first concrete results. ‘Sinh Con, Sinh Cha’ is delivered in partnership with the National Fund for Vietnamese Children (NFCV), which is one of the two partners of The Human Safety Net in the country, together with UNICEF. As part of the project, Generali Vietnam’s staff and agents are equipped with parenting tools and skills, which enable them amplifying the impact on customers and community members.

Emma Ursich, Executive Officer of The Human Safety Net, said: The impact results of ‘Sinh Con, Sinh Cha’ project confirm how important it is to make our parenting materials accessible to parents in an innovative way. The recent collaboration with UNICEF Vietnam allows for a greater impact by scaling our successful approach. Offering children the best possible nurturing and caring experience in their early childhood years will help shape a brighter and happier future for them and for society as a whole.”

After having reached directly 3,200+ parents and children and millions of views and interaction online in the first two years, in 2022-23, ‘Sinh Con, Sinh Cha’ is expected to work with an additional 4,000 parents, children, kindergarten teachers and staff via parenting workshops in 10 provinces and cities nationwide. It will also develop new content - including a new 12-episode sitcom series, further extending its reach via digital and social media channels.

Thanks to the Scale Up Impact initiative, UNICEF Vietnam is expanding their successful pilot projects to 15 additional cities around the country, as well as providing mobile access via digital learning platforms. In partnership with the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce, UNICEF will roll out the NICE programme to reach even more parents and children across the country.

Along with the Government and UNICEF, the corporate sector will be a key partner to advancing early childhood development in the country with its commitment to uphold children’s rights through corporate family-friendly policies and programmes.
