To truly experience the Network as a community, most of us will be staying together at the same hotel on San Servolo Island.

San Servolo is a small island located in the Venetian Lagoon, just a 10-minute boat ride from Piazza San Marco.
Check-Ins & Check-Outs
Check-in: Participants can check in at the Hotel San Servolo starting from 2:00 PM.
Check-out: The check-out time is 11:00 AM.
How to reach your hotel by water transport?
From Venice Marco Polo Airport to San Servolo
From Marco Polo Airport, you can take the Alilaguna Blue Line to San Marco (approx. 40 minutes) From San Marco, you can reach San Servolo Island via the public ACTV waterbus (Line 20 – ACTV Ticket) which departs from San Zaccaria (Pier B) and takes about 10 minutes. A few days before you arrive, our Secretariat will email you the ACTV PNR for the five day travel card. You won’t not need to buy anything to reach your hotel.
From Venice Santa Lucia Station Or Piazzale Roma To San Servolo
From Venezia Santa Lucia train station, take ACTV vaporetto Line 1 or Line 2 to San Zaccaria (approx. 30–35 minutes. Once you arrive at San Zaccaria (Pier B), take ACTV Line 20 towards San Servolo. A few days before you arrive, our Secretariat will email you the ACTV PNR for the five day travel card. You won’t not need to buy anything to reach your hotel.
From Tronchetto Car Park (main car parking in Venice)
Take Line 2 (30 – 35 min) stop in San Zaccaria – San Marco, change for line 20. A few days before you arrive, our Secretariat will email you the ACTV PNR for the five day travel card. You won’t not need to buy anything to reach your hotel.

Travel Documents
For Visa Application and Entry Requirements:
• For EU/EEA Nationals: You only need a valid ID to enter Italy.
• For Non-EU/EEA Travelers: You need:
A valid passport or travel document (must be valid for at least 3 months after you plan to leave the Schengen Area and issued within the last 10 years).
A visa, if required by Italian visa rules.

Climate
During this period, the weather in Venice can be quite variable, with autumn temperatures ranging from 8°C (46°F) to 15°C (59°F). Although November is generally a dry month, there is always the possibility of occasional rainfall.
