Every June, The Human Safety Net launches its annual fundraising, mobilising people globally for national activities. Local teams, led by The Human Safety Net, identify projects needing additional resources and use the Global Fundraising Challenge to collect donations to reach that goal. We recruit a maximum number of people to take part in a challenge. For example, volunteers may join challenges such as a cycling tour, running, walking, or climbing.
This June, across Italy, we’re getting active again: turning sports into fundraising and building our movement of people helping people.
This year’s message is clear: “Moving has never done this much good”.
Every step, every activity, every challenge will help support The Human Safety Net’s projects in Italy.
Choose your challenge and get involved
This year, the Global Challenge will take place in two phases:
Phase 1
Sports activities (June 1–20)
You can participate in many initiatives organized at various locations thanks to the support of our Ambassador colleagues: sports tournaments, group walks, yoga, guided tours, outdoor activities, and much more.
In this phase, colleagues from all Group companies in Italy can participate.
Phase 2
Step Up for People (June 22–28)
Step Up for People is a simple idea. There’s no single way to participate: you can walk, run, bike, or do any physical activity—it will all be counted and converted into steps, making the challenge accessible to everyone, regardless of fitness level or routine. Participants form teams, set their own goals, and stay active all week long, tracking their progress and contributing to a shared fundraising effort.
Step Up for People aims to build a collective movement and demonstrates how small individual actions can add up to create a tangible and lasting social impact. In 2026, the invitation remains the same: join in, move in your own way, and take a step forward for people.
Where the funds will go
In Italy, the funds raised will support The Human Safety Net’s programmes dedicated to families, migrants, and refugees living in vulnerable conditions.
