Spain joins The Human Safety Net

The Families program will support vulnerable families in Southern Madrid

The Human Safety Net has expanded into Spain, the fourth country joining the movement in 2017.

In Spain, The Human Safety Net will actively support families in Southern Madrid. This will be done by running a diverse programme of activities that help vulnerable parents and their young children to expand their horizon beyond their neighbourhood through arts and creativity, as well as visits to parks and libraries. At the same time, parents will better understand how their behaviours and their interactions are shaping the future of their children – for better or for worse.

On 14th-15th December, a group of colleagues representing Generali Spain and its agents came together for a two-day kick-off, during which leading NGOs shared their approach and experience.

The programme will launch its first activities in February 2018.
