Generali Indonesia Committed to Run The Human Safety Net

Generali Indonesia is the first country in Asia to join The Human Safety Net this year

Generali Indonesia was the first country in Asia to join The Human Safety Net this year, leveraging on the 'Tanah Merah' programme. This community initiative has been deployed together with Hope Worldwide Indonesia for the last 4 years to help the disadvantaged, foster mothers’ & children’s health and provide care for the elderly. With the support of The Human Safety Net, Generali Indonesia will be able to expand into other areas, such as Banten, Depok and Jakarta.

To further strengthen the understanding of The Human Safety Net and how to implement its programs in Indonesia, Generali Indonesia held The Human Safety Net workshop last 17-18 December with Yves Carbonnelle and Patrick Hoffman from the global THSN team, together with Neil Gardner, Chief Customer Officer-Regional Asia and our colleagues from Generali Thailand, Chomjan Supphajindakorn and Oranita Engchuan.

All workshop participants joined the discussion on how Generali Indonesia will start the Human Safety Net and expanded the scope of this programme among employees, agents and wider community.

Opened by Mr. Edy Tuhirman as CEO of Generali Indonesia, the first day was dedicated to building awareness & knowledge of The Human Safety Net, and how it is adjusted to the needs of each country. In Indonesia, the program will focus on vulnerable families, leveraging on the strong existing partnership among Generali Indonesia and the Indonesian branch of the NGO Hope worldwide, working together to improve the quality of family life through mother & child education, health, and financial literacy.

On the second day, The Human Safety Net workshop further strengthens the initial steps that will be taken to fortify the understanding of The Human Safety Net among employees and agents. In addition, this workshop also explores ideas and practices to give a wider impact. In line with one of Generali's values, Live The Community, Generali Indonesia is committed to provide benefits to the wider community and improve the quality of human life.
