A First Happy Christmas for The Human Safety Net in Argentina with Emmanuel’s Foundation

Last December 17, at Fundacion Emmanuel in Buenos Aires, 200 families benefitting from the The Human Safety Net for Families Program were joined by many volunteers from La Caja to share a unique and emotional moment to celebrate Christmas.

To make it a memorable day for the families and the children’s, volunteers had organized a colorful healthy drink bar where children and their parents could enjoy a variety of smoothies, sweets and cereal bars all prepared and served by volunteers dressed for the occasion in nice THSN t-shirts. Even the drinks were served also in colorful glasses with The Human Safety Net!

 

During that day, children proudly entertained their parents through a series of demonstrations of activities they learned during the year at the Fundacion Emmanuel : Karate, art, yoga, acrobatics, painting and others.

At the end of the day an beautiful release of orange and white THSN balloons was organized with all the families. Each parent and child could attach their wishes for 2018 on their own balloon.

 

For volunteers of La Caja this event offered them their first feeling of what the chain of people helping people under The Human Safety Net really means. “This will undoubtedly be replicated in different parts of Argentina in the future” said the team.
