From November 28th to December 17th, the Solidarity Train will travel from Paris, Bordeaux, Clermont Ferrand, Lyon and Strasbourg arriving in Switzerland in Geneva on the occasion of the Global Refugee Forum. It is an initiative developed by the UN Refugee Agency in France, SNCF (National Society of French Railroads) and DIAIR (French Inter-ministerial delegation to welcome and integrate refugees) in partnership also with Generali and The Human Safety Net. It is aimed to spread awareness and best practices on refugee community integration.
Through conferences, meetings, shows and expositions the train will engage with host communities to get the support they need, and help refugees to positively influence their livelihoods.
