ABOUT US
Tracey Snelling for The Human Safety Net

Overcoming poverty is not a task of charity, it is an act of justice. Like Slavery and Apartheid, poverty is not natural. It is man-made and it can be overcome and eradicated by the actions of human beings. Sometimes it falls on a generation to be great. You can be that great generation. Let your greatness blossom.

Inspired by the mission of The Human Safety Net, to unlock the potential of people living in vulnerable conditions, Tracey Snelling designed About Us, which complements the interactive journey of A World of Potential and explores the themes of vulnerability and the need to cultivate the spirit of inclusion within our communities. Home is an expression of personal identity and the place where our daily lives flow, but it is also synonymous with freedom, because it is where our potential can blossom. With About Us, the viewer is inspired to look at everyday life to understand how, despite our differences, we are much more alike than we think and always have the possibility to connect and initiate a dialogue that leads to inclusion and peace.

The two small apartment sculptures are a collaboration with Idan Levin.
