Employee Engagement Session – Women’s Day with beneficiaries with Ranchi

Our employee engagement initiative hit the right chord in the communities. Read to know more!

On the occasion of International Women’s Day on 08-03-2022, an employee engagement session was conducted with the women beneficiaries in Ranchi. Organized virtually, our employee, Dr. Arati Giriyal interacted with the women beneficiaries from Anganwadi’s that we are working in to deliver enhanced ECE services. The session covered key components like:

  • Why is it essential to ensure that girl children receive quality education, as a way to assist them to lead fulfilling lives as independent individuals and as a way to eradicate gender inequality 
  • Government-led campaigns like:

Beti Bachao Beti Padhao which aims to address the declining sex ratio by targeting prevention of of gender biased sex selective elimination, and ensuring survival, protection, education and participation of the girl child.
 
Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, aimed at ensuring savings and a secure future for every girl child. This is a scheme that the beneficiaries can take for their daughters, with a minimum deposit every month that adds up to a maturity amount upon the girl turning 18 years old and can be used for higher education.  

  • Inspirational stories about some of the first Indian women in various fields like Kalpana Chawla as the first woman of Indian origin to go to space, Mary Kom as the first Indian boxer to win a medal at the Asian Games in 2014, etc. were shared 

102 women attended the event from Okhargora Jara Toli, Balu, Heth Konki Manjhil Toli, Rarha Koritongri and Chama anganwadis in Ranchi.
