The Human Safety Net will be present for the first time at the Bürgerfest, the German citizens festival promoted by the Federal President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier, which takes place on 7-8 September in Berlin.
With the Citizens’ Festival, the Federal President is focusing on civic engagement in Germany and honoring the people who, with their commitment, make our strong society possible in the first place.
On the first day of the festival, around 4,000 invited guests from all federal states are expected to enrich civic society in a special way with their volunteer engagement. On the day of the open castle on 8 September, all citizens can participate in the festival.
At the festival, Generali Deutschland presents its Refugee Start-Ups program, which is active in Munich with a dedicated lab in partnership with NGO Social Impact. Here refugees are empowered to successfully start their own businesses, build a new livelihood and contribute to the local economy.
