The Nurturing Care Framework as a roadmap for action

The Human Safety Net refers to the Nurturing Care Framework as a road map for action. It helps our NGOs to focus on the right combination of services for a more systemic impact.

“The Nurturing Care Framework helps us and our Network of NGOs active in Europe, Asia and Latin America to focus on the right combination of services for a more systemic impact” – Emma Ursich, Director of The Human Safety Net Foundation, explains.

The Framework outlines how policies and services can support parents, families, other caregivers and communities in providing nurturing care for young children.

We learnt more about and shared best practices of the Nurturing Care Framework at our second global NetWorks event in Venice. Together with Bernadette Daelmans from the Department of Maternal, Newborn Child and Adolescent Health of the World Health Organisation and our 25 NGO partners implementing parenting programmes in more than 15 countries, we reflected on how best design, implement and measure our interventions all over the world.
